The unveiling ceremony for the Perth Korean War Memorial was performed by was performed by the Hon Roger Cook MLA, Premier of Western Australia and H.E. Mr Kim Wan-joong, Ambassador of the Republic of Korea to Australia and was Immediately followed by a commemorative service, marking the 70th anniversary of the signing of the Korean War Armistice on 27th July 1953.. The presence of some 700 people, including VIPs from across WA and Korean politics and government, business and the military ensured that it was a very meaningful day for the 46 Korean War Veterans in attendance, as well as widows and families of veterans.
